On the other hand, here are some of the food groups you can eat which will not cause you heartburn.
- Food rich in complex carbohydrates like bread, cereal, graham crackers, pretzels
- Apples, either the pulp or the juice

Aside from eating only the foods that are safe for your heartburn, you should also chew your food slowly. Eat in small amounts. Doing these will avoid any pressure on the stomach, which will avoid weakening of the lower esophagus muscle.
